This class will explore color relations in the magical Umbrian landscape and beautiful hilltop town of Monte Castello di Vibio Students will work both in the landscape and in the studio from drawings and from the imagination, exploring ideas of relational color and how color can be used to create a sense of place and time and can evoke feeling and emotion in art. Exploring color mixing and juxtaposition, Investigating warm and cool, the subtlety of neutrals, and the power of pure color and color intensity through painting - and through the creation a color notebook - will be a major focus.

Course fees offer an all-inclusive experience. They include round-trip transportation from Rome Fiumicino Airport to Monte Castello di Vibio, single or double occupancy rooms (upgrades available), three wonderful chef-prepared Umbrian meals per day (wine included, vegan and gluten free meals available), classrooms and individual studios, daily class sessions with your instructor, weekly excursions to important art sites in Umbria and Tuscany, and a group exhibition at the end of your session.

You may enroll in an additional class in the same session (at a different time of day) for a discounted rate ($650 for a two-week class and $350 for a one-week class).

- Pay a deposit of $500 per Studio Class

- Pay a deposit of $500 per Art History Class (or $350 if combined with a Studio Class)
